Mission brief

About Launch Day Review

Launch Day Review covers apps and Meta Quest games on the day they ship, then goes back to check. Day one, week one, month one. Plus the patches and updates in between.

The mission

Most launch coverage stops on release day. The hype peaks, the reviews go up, everyone moves on. We think the more useful question comes later: did it hold up? So every first impression here can get a follow-up after a week and after a month, and we track what changed in each update.

Who publishes this

Launch Day Review launched in 2026. It is published by the company that also develops or publishes several of the products we cover: LingFit, MindIsland, Laser Thief, Haunted: Are You Alone?, Tank Avenger – Mixed Reality, Sozo – Tower Defense. Full publisher details are in our legal notice.

That is a real conflict of interest, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Any article about one of these products is publisher content, not an independent review. Read the full disclaimer.

How we work

  • What shipped, what’s missing, watch next. Every report separates what is actually in the build from what was promised.
  • Launch Score = opinion. Where we give a Launch Score (0–10), it is the editors’ opinion at that point in time. It is not a lab test, and it can change in a follow-up.
  • Same scrutiny for our own products. We list missing features and rough edges in our publisher’s products too.
  • No invented hype. No fake leaks, no made-up release dates, no fake user reviews, quotes or download numbers.
  • Real competitors. Launch-window roundups include other studios’ apps and games, described fairly.
  • Corrections. Spotted something wrong, or did a patch change things? Email [email protected] and we’ll update the report and say so.
